Health Services
The Health Office (HO) has many duties. Primary nursing care is provided to members of the LAU community. Cases that require medical interventions are also followed up by the H.O. The office supervisor, a certified nurse, confidentially keeps accurate medical records of all the H.O visitors. The HO also functions in providing health information and advice to all those who seek help; organizes health campaigns in collaboration with health organizations/rehabilitation centers and supervises day to day activity of the health information center run by the LAU health club members (Lebanese Red cross- LAU branch).
Health Info Center
To promote the Health Office publications and brochures and to provide services to students, by students, the health information center was established. The center is run by members of the LAU-Health Club (Lebanese Red Cross Youth- LAU branch). Health relevant information and assistance by referral are services provided by the center.
Health Campaigns
Regular Health Campaigns are organized by the H.O. Previous awareness campaigns included issues concerning drugs, alcohol, smoking, diet and AIDS.
